Our goal is to help our key suppliers cut their Scope 1 and 2 emissions in half by 2030. In 2021, 10 key suppliers enrolled in one of our several energy efficiency partnership programs, including rooftop solar programs. Suppliers in Jordan, Korea, Taiwan, Cambodia and Bangladesh have these programs underway.
Collaboration is key.
We partner with the Apparel Impact Institute, International Finance Corporation’s Vietnam Improvement Program (VIP) and Partnership for Cleaner Textile (PaCT) Program, the German International Development Agency (GIZ) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) to support our suppliers in increasing their energy efficiency and lowering their greenhouse gas emissions.
Each year, using the Higg Facilities Environmental Module, we estimate these initiatives save:
